How MindEdge creates its content
MindEdge publishes athlete mental performance education. This page explains how we choose topics, how content is written and reviewed, and how we keep it accurate and useful.
Who we write for
Everything we publish is written for athletes and the people who support them. Our goal is to give you a genuinely useful answer to a real mental performance problem, whether or not you ever download the app.
How topics are chosen
We prioritise the problems athletes actually search for and struggle with: performance anxiety, confidence after a bad game, staying focused, resetting after a mistake, and preparing mentally to compete. We build depth on those topics rather than publishing large volumes of thin articles.
How content is created and reviewed
Content is drafted by the MindEdge editorial team and grounded in established sport psychology concepts. Mental performance content is reviewed by Lesley Smyth, a licensed sports counselor with 10+ years in the field, before it is marked as professionally reviewed. We only display a reviewer when an actual review has taken place.
How we use AI tools
We may use software tools, including AI, to assist with drafting, editing, and production. Tools never replace professional judgment: a qualified human reviews mental performance content for accuracy and responsible framing before publication.
How sources are used
When we make a scientific or psychological claim that needs support, we rely on credible, primary, or authoritative sources rather than random blogs. We do not fabricate statistics, studies, or credentials.
Accuracy, updates, and corrections
We update articles when the guidance meaningfully changes and show an honest "updated" date. We do not change dates simply to look fresh. If you spot an error, email [email protected] and we will review it.
Medical disclaimer
MindEdge content is educational and supports mental performance and mental skills. It is not medical or psychological advice and does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. If you are struggling, please reach out to a licensed professional. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (US) or your local emergency line.
Train the mental side of your game
MindEdge turns these techniques into guided sessions, breathing tools, and coaching you can use anywhere.
